She recommends a mermaid blue-green like LeChat Dare to Wear Nail. Her take: “Neutrals like creams, beiges, sheer or milky whites, and grey tones will also be trending for fall. This summer, manicurist Hemi Park is trading in straightforward teals and cobalts for their way cooler metallic siblings. “I typically see clients get darker tones on the feet and lighter neutrals on the hands,” Rojas shares. That's not to say mani-pedi mirroring is a must. “The same colors you'll see in the fall for manicures are the colors you'll see on toes,” Rojas says. Of course, as classics are wont to do, fall favorites-like “dark red, maroon, and burgundy”-will also reclaim their righteous reign on toes and fingers alike. Specifically, she cites browns, forest greens, burnt oranges, mustards, and midnight blue polishes as top contenders. “Think anything that gives you a cozy sweater-weather feel,” Rojas notes. Should fun suit your fancy, why not tap into a seasonal trend or two? This year, comfortable, calming colors meet the criteria. While there will, of course, be plenty of pretty pastels (think: powder blues, cool lilacs, and cheerful corals), well also see tasteful bright neutrals and a few not-so-expected nail colors and textures, including bold magenta, blues, and greens, sparkly pinks, shades of neon, and metallic hues. “There are so many options to choose from,” Rojas says “Fall colors are so fun.” Moody hues, of both timeless and trendy varieties, abound. Au contraire, autumn offers the opportunity to play with pedicure palettes, says Lilly Rojas, co-founder of Lili and Cata, a clean-centric nail salon in Brooklyn, New York. Swapping sandals for closed-toe slingbacks doesn't mean neglecting one’s feet.
